Having Trouble Hearing Us?

Before you try one of our audio children's books, there are just a couple of details you should know. First, you'll need a RealAudio player. It comes with some browsers, like MS Internet Explorer 4.0, AOL 3.1 and later, and even Web TV. The latest NetShow Player and the Windows 98 MediaPlayer should also work. So if you have one of these, or have downloaded the RealAudio software in the last year or so, give it a try. You'll probably be just fine.

Next, make sure that:

  • you have speakers on your system
  • your speakers are turned on and the volume is turned up
  • you are connected to the Internet at a speed of 28.8 or higher

If you still can't hear us, then you probably just need to add RealAudio software (version 3.0 or later). AOL users see below. Once you take the few minutes to do the free download, it will be installed in your browser so you'll be able to hear RealAudio (and see RealVideo) here and on other sites all over the web! You'll only need to do this once.

So just click below and follow the instructions. It should only take about 7 minutes or so to download, then a quick install (for Windows 95, go to Windows Explorer and double click on the file you downloaded, then follow the instructions) and you're done:

Get your free RealAudio player here.
(NOTE: you'll have 2 choices, the free player, or you can buy the RealPlayer Plus)

If you're still having problems, and you've already downloaded and installed the latest RealAudio software, there are a few other things you can try, such as the RealPlayer 5.0 Release Notes. Or, if you're using an Apple Macintosh, try RealNetworks' page on Mac problems.

AOL Users

Some recent AOL browsers already have RealAudio. But if not, you will need AOL's custom RealAudio software to work with AOL's 3.0 browsers for Windows95, Windows 3.1, and Power Mac's. So if you need it, you can download the AOL RealAudio software from the AOL RealAudio page.
